WESBILD CENTRE – New Name For Greater Vernon Multiplex

Vernon, British Columbia – Wesbild Holdings Ltd. is pleased to announce that it has accepted an offer from Greater Vernon Services (GVS) for the naming rights of the Greater Vernon Multiplex. The facility will be renamed WESBILD CENTRE at an upcoming ceremony in April, where the entire community will be invited to a free skating session to celebrate this special community occasion. More details for this launch event will be released in late March.

Wesbild, the real estate developer behind both Predator Ridge Resort Community and Turtle Mountain in Vernon, has a demonstrated track record of commitment to the communities in which they work. “We are thrilled to have been granted this opportunity for partnership with Greater Vernon Services and the Multiplex.”, said James Cronk, Vice-President of Marketing & Resort Activities, “When GVS approached us with this opportunity and we learned more about how our sponsorship could benefit the programming that is available to the community, we felt it was very important for us to contribute knowing that our sponsorship would directly benefit the people who live here”.

Greater Vernon Services realized an opportunity to generate revenue for community parks and recreation by securing a public/private partnership. “We are well aware of Wesbild’s commitment to our community with both of their current developments, Turtle Mountain and Predator Ridge. We would like to embrace this relationship with Wesbild and develop future opportunities for the Greater Vernon community through this valuable partnership”, said Mayor Lippert, City of Vernon. “With the World Curling Championships coming later this month, we thought now was a great opportunity to provide value to a sponsor and we are very pleased that Wesbild has made such a long-term commitment”, added Mayor Corner, District of Coldstream and Chair of GVS. The sponsorship is for five years with an additional five year option.
