Construction Starts on Turtle Mountain
Vernon, British Columbia – Construction began today on the community access road to Vernon’s newest residential community – Turtle Mountain.
Wesbild Holdings Ltd., one of Canada’s largest neighbourhood developers, will be working closely with their contractors, Hoban Equipment Ltd and consulting engineers Kerr Wood Leidal, to oversee this first phase of infrastructure construction – a major arterial road extension of 39th Avenue as required by the City of Vernon. Phase I will see the grading of the road sub-base completed. This extension, tentatively titled Turtle Mountain Drive, is main arterial road for the Turtle Mountain community.
“Wherever we go our number one priority is to be a good neighbour.”, said Don Moore, Manager of Environmental Services for Wesbild, “That starts with providing our neighbours and all of Vernon the most up to date information about this development and trying to keep any disruptions from construction of our community to a minimum.”
Phase I of construction is scheduled to finish at the end of October.
